I’ve played many a video game in my time. But of all the genres out there, I always had a particular affinity for strategy games. My favourite of those games (I’m thinking of Age of Empires as the example if anyone remembers getting this out of a cereal box), aren’t just about who can make the most ‘gold’, but who can use the resources that they have in the most effective way.

Whilst maybe it might sound like a stretch, I think this fascination with strategy is part of what led me to financial advice. As if there is one thing I’ve learnt in my time in the industry thus far, it’s that money is just a tool with which we can achieve our goals, and there is far more to a great financial strategy than just making more money.

I’ve worked as a part of the HPH Solutions team for nearly two and a half years now, and in that time have completed studies in finance and financial planning, and am now a Provisional Adviser finishing off my Professional Year and adviser qualifications. Once I have this box ticked, I can’t wait to start helping people develop the strategies with which they can achieve their own goals and aspirations.
