When I was about 16 years old, I read a book on finance and investing and discovered how fascinating the field is. This sparked my interest in pursuing a degree in investment management, which deepened my appreciation for the impact that sound investment decisions can have on a person’s life. I have unfortunately seen several family members make poor financial decisions that left them in difficult financial positions, despite earning good salaries during their careers. In contrast, other family members who earned less achieved better outcomes later in life because of the financial decisions they made years earlier. Experiences like these are where my passion for helping people achieve better financial outcomes comes from. I have seen firsthand the difference that good investment decisions can make. Ultimately, it is not about having the highest-paying career or the most money, but about how you manage what you have—how you budget, save, and invest. Consistently making sound financial decisions over time can have a profound impact on a person’s life.

I follow a variety of sports, but having grown up in South Africa, I am an avid rugby union supporter. I also enjoy cycling, cricket, and football. Outside of sports, I like spending my free time hiking, travelling, and reading. I tend to read mostly non-fiction, as I enjoy broadening my knowledge on topics I am passionate about. I believe it is important to make informed decisions and to support one’s beliefs with sound evidence. This aligns well with HPH Solutions’ philosophy, where evidence-based insights and research form the foundation of the advice provided to clients.
