The Financial Planning Association (FPA) of Australia’s Awards are national financial planning awards designed to recognise members who deliver the highest standards of professional and trusted advice to Australian consumers, as well as those who have gone above and beyond to support their local community through pro bono and volunteer work. These awards have been run since 2013 to support and reward the 14,000 members and affiliates of whom 11,400 are practising financial planners and 5,700 CFP professionals.
We are completely thrilled to announce that HPH Solutions has been awarded the FPA Professional Practice of the Year award for 2020. In addition to this national accolade, our senior Financial Planner Zac Leeson has been awarded the highly coveted Certified Financial Planner Professional of the Year award.
HPH Solutions was one of four finalists in the main award category, and Zac was chosen out of three other candidates to receive the top individual award. For a full list of finalists, you can click here.

The annual FPA awards are judged by a jury of fellow financial planners, and in the same way AFL players say the awards they most value are the ones voted on by their peers, so too is this true for us. To have your peers rate what you do and how you do it as being of the highest standard in Australia is both humbling and incredibly energising.
Perhaps the best things about these awards, however, are the fact that they are not just a reflection of the hard work and dedication of our entire team but also the trust our clients, have in us, our values and our methodology.
We started HPH Solutions with something different in mind. From our perspective, financial planners are in the healthcare profession. There are both objective and subjective factors that impact a person’s quality of life and financial satisfaction. Money is as much about psychology as it is about economics and we apply an evidence-based approach to both. By asking our clients to reflect and resolve what they want from life, now and in the future, it becomes clear to them where to spend their resources of time, money and energy. We then create a plan to see that these resources are invested accordingly, tracking their progress over time and making adjustments as necessary to adapt to changes.
