Suggested investment limits?

The investment limits we suggest are designed to protect your super and pension assets. Without these limits the potential for a large capital loss would be unreasonably high (however, these limits do not eliminate the risk of a large capital loss).

ASX listed securities limits

Suggested trustee limits for buying ASX listed securities are as follows:

• Maximum 20% of the value of a client's total account balance invested in any company within the S&P/ASX 100
• Maximum 10% of the value of a client's total account balance invested in any company within the S&P/ASX 200 (not in the S&P/ASX 100)
• Maximum 20% of the value of a client's total account balance invested in all other ASX listed companies outside the top S&P/ASX 200 and a maximum of 5% of the value of a client's total account balance invested in any single company outside the top S&P/ASX 200
• No more than 50% exposure to a single ASX Global Industry Classification System (GICS) industry group.
